Rhythm & Roots is more than a night of music. It is a celebration of history culture and community. In tribute to Black History Month this special evening brings people together through the sounds that shaped generations honoring the legacy of Shady Rest Country Club and the artists who carried these rhythms forward.
On Saturday February 28 from 6:30 PM to 11 PM guests will gather in at Shady Rest Country Club for an evening that blends live blues soul and jazz performances with dinner dancing and fellowship. Featuring JB & The JB Blues Band The Glenn & Oria Band and special guest performers the night captures the spirit of Shady Rest as a cultural landmark where music creativity and community have always thrived.
All proceeds benefit Preserve Shady Rest Inc supporting efforts to protect and uplift the history of the first Black owned and operated country club in the United States. From the buffet dinner to the live performances and DJ sets Rhythm & Roots invites guests to reflect celebrate and give back all in one unforgettable night of music and meaning.
